These young monks were waiting for a boat to ferry them across the Chao Phraya river on their way to Wat Arun. Just as I was exiting Wat Pho, where the Reclining Buddha is, they came out altogether from a temple where they just had a lesson. They were lively, if not noisy, smiling and waving to some tourists (including me) who would “secretly” take a picture of them from a distance. I kinda followed them to the crowded streets and unto the pier where other tourists were waiting for the boat. And that’s when I realized that Wat Arun, my next destination, was just across where we were standing.
The young novice 3rd from left was singing a pop song, maybe. I’m sure it wasn’t a chant from Rigveda. 🙂
From a cloudy day (see above pic), the sky suddenly just turned blue and the sun released a sweltering heat.
