Toronto Buskerfest 2013 – Reasons Why You Should Join The Fun
Downtown Toronto, on Yonge Street (between College and Queen Streets) is closed for Canada’s most family-friendly summer festival, the Toronto Buskerfest 2013–a gathering of all things buskers/busking–in support of Epilepsy Toronto. A total of 56 buskers from around the world congregate to give Torontonians a kind of summer entertainment that would cost you much when you see them in theaters and amusement parks.
Buskerfest appeals to people from all walks of life. Children will be awed and adults will be charmed. From silent impersonations to acrobatic stunts, to fire-breathing and juggling, this festival will surely hold your breath.
So, check out Toronto Buskerfest 2013 on August 22-25! Be enthralled and discover the wonders of being childlike again. Be entertained, smile as much as you can and you’ll realize your wrinkles are disappearing.
Why should you join the fun at Toronto Buskerfest 2013?
…because it’s a good deed to help Epilepsy Toronto. Drop whatever you can. It’s better to give than to receive, remember?
…because this gentle giant Stiltdancer kicks ass! And I mean it in a good way.
…because if you help, this Angel will be happy to report to the Man Upstairs about what you did this summer.
…because this Silent Violinist is awesome in his black swan ensemble made up of balloons. She can’t talk but she’s stunningly expressive.
…because this superb violinist will put you in a trance.
…because this guy really loves his job and he gives stickers that smells of, what else but, orange!
…because this guy’s job is the envy of all. He gets to command these…
…three long-necked Sauruses that…
…prance around like they’re part of our existence.
…because you gotta see Candyman (from Germany) up close and personal. He’s kinda scary but a sweet, gentle fellow.
…because Julius, the Turtle, is ridiculously funny! Look at those smiles behind them.
…because this smiling balloonist makes colourful headdress…
…and his customers wear it proudly and are obviously happy.
…because this funny waiter makes your dining experience like you’ve never experienced before…
…while Silver Elvis is rockin’ nearby!
…because this guy is good at playing card tricks and magic.
…because these two cute guys hold each other before…
…they jump to the teeter board and
…throw their fellow up into the air, somersaulting over three times in one jump!
…because this guy from Netherlands breathes fire and leaves you spellbound!
…because these Flying Dutchmen juggles fire and passes torches while on a monocycle.
…because this guy swings like it’s the most natural thing to do in the world.
…because this breakdancer has great, hard abs.
…and his colleague can do high jump over 5 bowing volunteers.
…because this guy shakes his booty like Beyonce, puts on a happy face and walks in slow motion like you’re watching a Matrix movie.
…because this contortionist can bend it like Beckham.
…because this cool member of the audience is so damn proud of his heritage.
…because this guy swoons his lady from above and crawls like Spiderman.
…because these duo gives a stunning imagery of bodies flying through wind, water, earth and tricks of light.
…because there’s good drink.
…because there’s this delicious blooming onion.
…because there’s free food sample, too!
and most of all, it’s because it’s fun to be generous.
After you watch all the performances, tricks and amusements, don’t forget to share your blessings to the performers / buskers. They aren’t paid and they travel near and far just to entertain us.
A happy giver has a happy heart.
