Video – Things to See and Do in Salamanca
I went to Salamanca last weekend – and it’s a charming little city full of legends and history. A short visit wasn’t really enough to explore the whole city but I managed to walk around its cobbled stones and quiet streets on my own while the rest of the tourists were huddled at Plaza Mayor and the Catedral de Salamanca.
My only regret of not seeing one part of Salamanca is the illuminated Plaza Mayor which is said to be Spain’s best plaza at night. Our bus left at 8:00 in the evening (and it was still daylight!) so we had no chance of seeing the grandeur of the illuminated arched architecture that the city is proud of.
