Yes, street ear cleaning is a thing in India.

Or maybe, it’s just in Delhi. These are my very first three photos when I landed in the country’s capital.

I saw these guys outside the metro. I stood next to them because I was waiting for someone to pick me up so we could go somewhere. The ear cleaner was so transfixed at what he was doing. Every time he gets dried shit from his customer’s ears, he smells it. It’s gross! Cleaning two ears took him 7 minutes – for 20 rupees ($.29).

After he was done, he asked if I wanted to have my ear cleaned but I politely said no. It’s kinda weird. 🙂

Whuke I was standing at the taxi stand outside Qutub Minar, someone also offered me this same ear cleaning service. While passing at a park in Jaipur, someone also asked if I wanted this.
