Seoul Tower at Night
Sriram and I woke up at noon today. That means, we only have 4 hours of sleep.
I need to get out of his apartment before his buyers will drop by his flat. He’s selling a lot of his stuff to Craigslist’s readers because he’s leaving Seoul soon.
I left his flat at 1:30 p.m. I called my next host, RC, and she told me to be at Yongsan Subway Station at 3:00 pm. And I did. She easily spotted me. Perhaps, it’s my fabulousness that glows and tell people that, “Hey, it’s me!” Yeah, I do love myself so much. Haha!
RC gave me a tour of his neighborhood from Yongsan Station. She was so kind and excellent in giving directions and landmarks to her place that I tried to absorb like a sponge.
After settling all my things, I checked emails and went out to see Seoul’s skyline at night from Seoul Tower.
Seoul Tower is 479 meters above sea level.
It’s on a hill and it stands fabulously, especially when it glows pink! I love it!
The tower itself has alight show which plays and glows wonderfully with a symphony. It’s beautiful!
The way up to the hill was itself an exercise. Though there’s a bus, and it stops somewhere near the tower, the climb was still bone-chillin’ in an autumn breeze.
Outside the tower, there were a lot of street artists where people ask them to have self-portraits in a few minutes. They are skilled artists, in fairness, and it’s worth it.
There were so many people and I waited for an hour and a half before I finally reached the top. I can’t breath in the elevator. On my left hand, I felt a crotch. But dead. Haha!
I thought it was open deck view. It was not—and the glass wall was dirty that I have to wipe the area so I could take clearer photos. It was a good thing that I brought a wet tissue with me. If I didn’t have one, I could have licked it with my talented tongue! Ha ha!
I didn’t stay long up there. The queue going down was still long so I cut in line because I was so hungry already. And nobody seemed to notice it. Hehehehehe… Don’t judge me. 😀
