On my last afternoon, I was looking for the Royal Palace in Brussels but I found these horsemen instead. From afar, I saw a throng of people gathered around in what seemed to be the gate into a park. I thought that was the entrance to the Royal Palace but as I got nearer, I heard horses neighing. I was focused on getting across the other side of the street that I didn’t realize I just passed by the Palace! 😀 Luckily for me, I caught the last 15 minutes of the equestrian show. Judging from their looks, I can tell that these horsemen are the Royal Guards.

After the show, I checked my google map to continue on my quest to find the Royal Palace. To my surprise, I was just 10 feet away from it. When I looked back – there I saw this monstrous building! 😀

The Royal Palace. As the name suggests, this is the official residence / palace of the King and Queen of Belgium. I didn’t really know that this small country has royals until I read my Lonely Planet Guidebook. “)
