Pussy Riot led Toronto Pride Parade 2015 amidst constant drizzle and chilly temperature. And oh, they didn’t just led—but they made quiet an entrance—inside a huge, red missile carried by an army truck. Boy, that was the best entrance of any International Grand Marshall Pride Toronto ever had since I arrived here in 2005.
Pussy Riot, if you don’t know, is a punk rock group of three brave women from Russia whose greatest enemy is, none other than, the infamous anti-gay Vladimir Putin. They have been in and out of jail for Putin’s entertainment. They’re vocal about their discontent on Russia’s inequality and very optimist that, one day, their country will be freed from a tyrant.
Of the three members, only Nadya Tolokonnikova revealed her face, unmasked. her other two compatriots were in blue and rainbow mask, matched with a camouflaged, military garb.
