The stained glass windows at Notre Dame Paris deserve a separate post in this blog. Every church in Europe has its own amazing stained glass windows – from its walls to its roof. From Italy to Belgium to Spain, these colourful windows tell a story of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Kings, Queens, Popes, and Saints. Inside Notre Dame Cathedral, visitors will be dazzled by its stained glass windows. Without them, the cathedral’s interior would be as bland as the steamed rice I always eat every day.
The Stained Glass Windows at Notre Dame Paris

The Rose Windows. is, perhaps, the most stunning stained glass inside the cathedral. There are three of them inside. Look for them on the North, South, and West sides of the cathedral. Even if I don’t tell you how they look like, you’ll figure it out. They’ll shine and you can’t miss them, really.

The North Rose stained glass windows are entitled, “The Glorification of the Virgin Mary.” Here, you’ll find 80 scenes from the life of the Virgin taken from the Old Testament. The

The South Rose shows the Christ of the Apocalypse in the middle. Figures in the surrounding circles are those of prophets and saints.

The West Rose has the Vices, Virtues, and Zodiac Signs.

Where to Stay in Paris
This is a medium-priced hostel that’s a few steps from the Gare Du Nord metro stop. The hostel is reachable to a lot of cafes, restaurants, and grocery shops. The hostel itself has a fantastic bar with bulging security guards. 😉 The rooms are sizeable, clean, and well-ventilated. The bunk beds are comfy with electrical pugs and lamps.
How to Save Time and Money in Paris
Paris has an excellent transport system. There’s nothing to worry about getting from one tourist attraction to another. If you have more time in Paris, then, you can do it all on your own. And it would be cheaper and less time-consuming if you are on the Hop-On and Hop-Off Bus. However, if you only have a short time staying in the city and you want hassle-free preparation (especially avoiding long queues), then joining a Paris Tour is always a good idea!
