Padar Island – The Most Beautiful Short Hike I’ve Ever Done
At Padar Island, I had the most beautiful 30-Minute Hike I’ve Ever Done. This island is one of the more than 17,000 stunning islands in Indonesia!
Padar Island is a unique destination, with its raw and rugged landscapes and crystal-clear waters. The island is surrounded by a turquoise sea that is teeming with coral reefs and colorful marine life, making it an ideal place for snorkeling and diving. Visitors to Padar Island can expect to see an array of exotic sea creatures, including tropical fish, manta rays, and sea turtles.
Padar Island is a small, lush tropical island located in the Flores Sea, Indonesia. This stunning island is part of the Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is considered one of the most beautiful islands in Indonesia.

Hiking Padar Island
One of the most popular activities on the island is hiking before sunrise. Many tour boats anchor near the island so that tourists can start hiking early morning, and arrive before the golden hour. It only takes 30 minutes, (or more, depending on your pace), to the summit where most people stay, and another 10-minute hike if you want to go to the highest peak! Starting the hike early can be tricky because it’s dark, and some parts of the hiking trail are steep and strenuous. Take your time, but also be mindful of reaching the top before the first rays of the sunrise.

As the sky gets brighter, you will be astounded by the breathtaking and panoramic views. I had goosebumps when I finally saw the surrounding islands, including neighboring Komodo Island. The stunning landscapes, including crystal-clear waters, multi-colored sandy beaches, and towering cliffs will surely etch in your memory.
The island’s interior is just as stunning, with lush green forests, towering cliffs, and rolling hills. Visitors can explore the island’s rugged terrain, including its famous three-colored beach. This breathtaking beach is known for its vibrant shades of pink, white, and black sand that mix together to create a stunning, kaleidoscopic landscape.

How to Reach the Island
To reach the island, travelers can fly into Labuan Bajo, a small city on the western tip of Flores Island. You can start from Jakarta, Bali, or other cities in Indonesia. When you arrive at Labuan Bajo, you can join a tour by speedboat or local ferry to the island for a day.
However, the most convenient, enjoyable, and exciting way is to join a 3-day tour on a boat that will sail and take you island-hopping and do some water activities like diving and snorkeling. And, of course, it will take you to the world-famous, Pink Beach!
The stunning Island is a breathtaking destination, ideal for anyone seeking adventure, beauty, and serenity. Whether you are a beachcomber, a diver, a trekker, or a wildlife enthusiast, the Komodo group of islands will always amaze you!
So if you’re looking for an unforgettable island experience, include Padar Island in your Indonesian itinerary.
