Our Top Five Vegas Experiences
A trip to the United States is always on everyone’s mind, and Las Vegas is on the bucket list of many of us. Getting to see Sin City with its famous neon lights and never-ending party scene – what could be better? If you’re lucky enough to be planning a Vegas trip, whether for a weekend or an extended stay, then you’ll want to make sure you make a list of your must-do experiences before setting off. There’s so much entertainment on offer in this city that never sleeps that, before you know it, you’ll be at the end of your trip with items still to tick off the list. So, to help you out, we’ve curated a list of our top five Vegas experiences to get you started.
Fly Above The Las Vegas Strip
When you first arrive at a new destination, the best thing you can do is familiarise yourself with the area. The main road in Vegas is colloquially known as The Strip, and whilst it’s totally possible to have a stroll down it to take in the sights, there is a better option. Walking takes a while; if you’ve only got a weekend, then time is of the essence. Instead of walking, we suggest flying! There’s a brilliant company that runs zipline flights up and down the Vegas Strip 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So, climb the stairs, strap yourself in and prepare to whizz high above the bright lights of the city. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.
Hit Up One of the Casinos
Vegas is a paradise for casino lovers, especially if you already know your way around online table games. One of the most popular options historically is roulette, a game that, with the arrival of the sector in the online world, has evolved in different variants that bring dynamism to this classic title. The roulette tables that you come across in Vegas might not have quite the same number of varieties, but they’re still great fun. Placing a bet on red or black is a simple way to go and if your bet comes in, you’ve doubled your money. Those who enjoy other games will be able to find any number of them and a selection of slot machines that are as big as anywhere in the world.
Watch a Residency at The Venetian
Las Vegas residencies allow you to see some of the biggest artists in the world in comparatively small venues. If you’re a big music fan, spending a night at The Venetian will be an experience to remember. This year there are stars as varied as B52 and Ringo Starr who are already playing at this iconic venue. Be warned, though, book in advance as tickets sell out fast.
Catch The Light Show at The Bellagio Fountains
If a stay at the Bellagio is out of your budget, then that doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on the opulence altogether. The Bellagio Fountain is truly spectacular and completely free to visit. The fountains alone are super beautiful, but if you visit at nighttime, you’re in for a real treat. Every thirty minutes, they start an incredible light show, where brightly colored beams of light illuminate the water jets. If you’re traveling with a romantic partner, then a sweet treat and a chance to watch the lights here is something you’ll remember forever.
Eat Yourself Silly at the Bacchanal Buffet
One of the things that Vegas is most famous for is its culture of excess and nowhere is that more brilliantly indulgent than at the enormous buffets. There are absolutely loads to choose from unless you’re keeping it all-inclusive, and they’re spread out all around the city. However, in our opinion, the best is the Bacchanal Buffet. This one is located in the Caesars Palace resort and serves up top-quality meals to hungry diners seven days a week. The dishes are made fresh every day, despite there being more than 500 to choose from at any given time. Our advice is to arrive hungry and start with the expensive stuff if you want to get your money’s worth before being too full to eat anymore!
