Yes, that’s right. I wore flip-flops climbing mountains in Al Ula. They’re not your ordinary mountains but rocky mountains, which can be dangerous when you step on imbalanced rocks. I didn’t bring my shoes because no one told me we would climb mountains. It was supposed to be just a hike – but when we started going up and carefully holding rugged rocks for grips and safety, we knew it would be an arduous climb.
It’s worth it, though. The feeling of reaching the summit was indescribable, and the views were magnificent. We were directly overlooking the camping site we were staying, and it was amazing! My crocs flip flops made it to the top, and I’m sure they were proud of their achievement. 😀
Enjoy the climb. And the views from up there. 😀
