The crowd was overwhelming, the clothes were uber fabulous, the models were stunning (though there were 4 who can really carry a dress–the rest were all about them, not about the dress), the atmosphere was congenial and the enthusiasm was infectious—that’s how the first ever PLDT Canada Philippine Fashion Week culminated!
Fashion designers and some models were flown in from Manila to work together with the local Canadian designers to bring a fashion spectacle that shows the individuality of two countries yet when blended in together, they create a unique ensemble that’s dazzling, grand and world-class!
The ingenuity, creativity and artistry of Filipino and Canadian designers were put in the spotlight in this five-day celebration of Filipino chic, culture and vogue from June 10-15.
Fashion designers include: John Ablaza, Francis Libiran, Noel Crisostomo, Roland Alzate, Norman Noriega, Leonardo Co, Amina Aranaz, Brian Maristela and Jon de Porter.
Canada Philippine Fashion Week is spearheaded by its Founder and Executive Director, Jeff Rustia.

The Canada Philippine Fashion Week supports Kol Hope Foundation that works with children with disabilities both in Canada and in the Philippines.
The fashion show was great and successful but there are some things that needed to be improved. I wouldn’t say them all here. LOL…
