First of all, I’m not a sports fan. I don’t do, go and play games (not even computer games) at all. I
do watch some games but I don’t have a favourite game to watch. I watch for the heck and thrill of it. And when I watch, I shout, clap and jump with passion. Yeah, I could be “that” annoying, super excited fan you hate to be seating with / next to. LOL…
I watched 8 games during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and I loved the chaos, the agog, the camaraderie, the thrill and the sportsmanship between the athletes and the cheering fans.
In sports, win or lose, people celebrate and move on. It’s not like a Miss Universe Beauty Pageant where the losers (you know the fans) just couldn’t move on. Hahahaha!!!
Anyway, I watched the Brazil and Panama Soccer match at PanAm Games for Bronze Medal in Hamilton today. Two friends and I decided to cheer for Panama because we knew that the stadium will be full of Brazilians. We’ve seen a lot of fans waving Brazilian flags, but we never saw one Panamanian flag. But, that’s ok—my loud cheer is equal to 10 cheering Brazilians already. LOL…
So, here are the Things I learned from Brazil and Panama Soccer Match at PanAm Games 2015. If you don’t have a sense of humour, please discontinue reading this. You might have a heart attack. 😀
The soccer match vying for bronze medal started with these guys marching with the flags of Panama and Brazil.
Team Panama really love their country.
Team Brazil showed the world who’s TOP and who’s BOTTOM. I bet, they need ONE more bottom, eh? LOL…
When the games was about to start, these referees marched in their really chic uniform. Don’t they look hot? I know where and what you are looking at! 😉
So the game of balls began.
And the crowd started to cheer.
Both teams passed, tossed and kicked balls. Hard. Really hard.
Suddenly, Team Panama scored the first goal!
The crowd went wild but they didn’t show it here in this photo—because I took this after. LOL…
I got up screaming, too, but I got tired — so I sat back on someone’s chair, probably taken by a Brazilian fan who left because she was disappointed. 😀
And before the first half of the game was over, I was in love with #14.
And #6, #17, #9 too! Ok, to be honest, all in Team Panama, actually! 😀 😀 😀
Because it’s a half-time break, you have to tease your fans by showing a flesh of your twenty-something abs.
Oh yeah, it’s hot, too, so a bag of ice cubes would want some head, right? *wink*
Oh dear, I wish I were #4 and Bressan’s (#3) water bottle, too! Do you know and feel what’s it’s gonna be like? I’m sure you don’t! 🙂
Meanwhile, Pachi, mascot of Toronto 2015 PanAm Games, entertained us with his very porcupine-y dance moves.
Second half-time began with Team Brazil getting more aggressive.
When they finally had the first goal in the 75th minute, the right thing to do was, of course: go shirtless and right foot forward like a beauty queen! Yay! LOL…
And to weep for their enemy’s goal, Team Panama was like this. But, it’s ok. It’s a nice rear view, yeah? 😉
Team Brazil scored two more goals.
The Brazilians went crazy and loud.
And I was quiet. So quiet in my seat. I just took pictures like a maniac. A lot of pictures. It’s very therapeutic. 🙂
But, it’s ok. I heart Team Panama. <3
When the game was over, Brazil won, 3-1.
They celebrated. With hugs. I can’t imagine to be IN the centre of this group hug. I might be very dehydrated. 🙂
I learned the game was over because the athletes started going half-naked.
Delicious and ripped.
This twink was so gracious to his fans by pulling his shorts way below his navel. Hmmmnnn…. 🙂
You know what they say about men with big feet and thumb, right? 😉
Team Panama still gave a thumb-up despite losing. He exchanged his jersey shirt to Team Brazil.
When these soccer referees took their exit, the game was officially over.
And I moved on.
Until next PanAm Games, Panama! You’re doing more than great on your FIRST appearance in the PanAm soccer tournament!
Congratulations, Brazil! And I hope to see your massive country next year for the Summer Olympic Games!
